Gastritis Symptoms


Burning sensation with Pain or discomfort in your stomach specifically in the upper abdominal area is the primary symptom of gastritis (inflammation or irritation of the stomach lining) in many occasions. When you eat acidic foods, your abdominal pain and discomfort get worse. This is the best warning sign of gastritis to seek medical treatment. Other symptoms of gastritis vary among individuals. And onset of gastritis symptoms can be recognized more rapidly with some of following symptoms of gastritis.

  • Nausea and vomiting: pale green or yellowish vomiting indicates the normal level of gastritis. Complete bloody or blood-mixed vomiting is the indication of severe gastritis to which you should seek immediate medical treatment.
  • Bloating: This symptom of gastritis prevent you from eating your regular meals
  • Indigestion: feeling discomfort during or after meal usually accompanied with burning sensation in the upper stomach.
  • Loss of appetite
  • Belching

And the severe gastritis symptoms can be identified with the dark stool besides bloody vomiting.
